Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
AnxietyPulse ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal information. Most importantly: AnxietyPulse is designed to be a local-first application. Your health data stays on your device.
2. Data Collection
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your personal health data to our servers. All Check-ins, Journal entries, and Trigger logs are stored locally on your device using on-device database technologies.
With your permission, AnxietyPulse can read health signals from Apple Health or Health Connect (such as sleep, heart-rate variability, activity, and mindful minutes) to show how your body relates to anxious moments, and can write your check-ins back as mood entries. This health data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
3. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services for:
- Analytics: PostHog processes anonymous product-usage events (for example, that a check-in was completed, or which screens you visited) to help us improve the app. Analytics is off by default: we ask once during setup, and you can turn it off anytime in Settings. Events are tied to a random, app-generated identifier, never your name or email; IP-based geolocation is disabled, and we do not track you across apps or use advertising identifiers. No health data is ever sent.
- RevenueCat: RevenueCat, Inc. manages in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes an anonymous device identifier, subscription status, and purchase history on our behalf — solely for subscription management. No health or personal data is shared with RevenueCat.
Purchase & Subscription Data (GDPR)
When you make a purchase or start a free trial, transaction data is processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. This includes your subscription status, purchase date, and anonymous transaction identifiers. No personal or health data is ever shared with these services. Under GDPR, RevenueCat acts as a data processor on our behalf under a written data processing agreement; the legal basis for this processing is performance of a contract. Data may be processed in the United States under GDPR-compliant Standard Contractual Clauses. You can manage your subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings. For details, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Data Retention
Since data is stored on your device, you are in control of your data retention. Deleting the app will delete your local data. We recommend using the Backup feature (if available) to export your data.
